Located in Yunnan, Thailand, Burma, Malaysia, Kalimantan, Vietnam and Chinese mainland, it grows at 1500 meters above sea level, often on the side of the slope. It has been planted artificially. Shrubs, with tender parts covered in short stiff hairs. The leaves are long elliptical lanceolate to inverted egg lanceolate, 9-12 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, sharply pointed at the tip, round at the base, with smooth edges, sparsely covered with tiny soft hairs on both sides, basal veins extending to half of the leaf blade, 3-4 pairs of lateral veins; petioles 1.5-3.5 cm long, sparsely covered with short coarse hairs; stipules membranous, red, linear lanceolate, about 5 mm long, gradually pointed at the tip, covered with tiny soft hairs on the outside. Figs paired or solitary in leaf axils, with a common stalk, spherical, 5-7 mm in diameter; male and gall flowers scattered on the same inner wall of the fig, male flowers with stalks, 3 tepals, inverted egg elliptical, 1-2 stamens, elliptical anthers; gall flowers with 4 tepals, smooth ovary, short lateral style; female flowers with 3-4 tepals, egg lanceolate, ovary ovoid. Achenes oblong, wrinkled surface, with a short lateral style and a shallow stigma. |
