    Deciduous small trees or shrubs; Up to 5 meters; Bark grayish brown;Leaves are lyre shaped, elliptic or elliptic lanceolate, 10-18 cm long, apex acuminate or caudate, base round or slightly heart-shaped, slightly rough above, with Bell milk body below, entire or microwave shaped.Banyan fruit is opposite, with short branches and leaf axils, sparse and solitary, spherical or conical, smooth, purple black when ripe, and male flowers and gall flowers are born in the same banyan fruit.

  The leaves of this species are noted for their unique shapes, often lyrate, elliptic, or elliptic-lanceolate, and can range from 10-18 cm in length. The leaves' bases are rounded to shallowly cordate, with margins that are entire or slightly undulate. Additionally, the stipules of Ficus heteromorpha are lanceolate, about 1 cm in length, and the petiole is typically red, measuring 1.5-6 cm. Calyx lobes 4 or 5, spatulate; stamens 2 or 3. Gall flowers: calyx lobes 5 or 6; ovary smooth; style short. Female flowers: calyx lobes 4 or 5; ovary enclosed by calyx lobes; style lateral; stigma brushlike, pubescent. Achenes smooth. Fl. Apr-May, fr. May-Jul.
